Description

The Geemarc CL7700 is a wireless headset which hangs down from the ears and is suitable for those who do NOT wear hearing aids. This clever headset can be used for listening to BOTH the TV and a Bluetooth device such as your mobile phone or tablet. It allows you to seamlessly switch between listening to the TV and taking a phone call.

The CL7700 OPTI is a stylish, top quality headset with a charging base / transmitter which can be connected to virtually all televisions, laptops, music players, and iPods. You do not need to have a Bluetooth-compatible TV to use this headset as the handy base connects into the back of your TV using standard optical or analogue cables. The headset provides high quality CD sound and is useful in situations where members of the same household do not wish to watch the same TV program together. By wearing this headset, one can watch TV without disturbing those around, who might prefer to read.

The headset has tone, volume, and balance controls (for people who have different hearing loss in each ear) and you can choose to have either stereo or mono sound. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery which charges when the headset is placed on the charging base / transmitter. As well as working as a standard TV listener, the CL7700 OPTI can also be used on its own as a Bluetooth headset separately from the transmitter. You can pair it with your mobile phone in Bluetooth mode to make handsfree calls or listen to music. If a call comes in while you're watching the TV, the telly will be paused and you will hear your phone call. When the call ends, the headset will switch automatically back to the TV.

The headset has useful voice notifications to tell you its status. These include "power on", "low battery" and "connected" when the headset is connected to a device and are a nice feature for people with poor vision who find flashing LEDs hard to see and differentiate.

Features:

  • Stereo reception
  • Comfortable and lightweight
  • Optical and 3.5mm audio input on the base
  • Easy access to the settings from the headset:
  • Volume control (up to 125dB spl)
  • Left/Right Balance Control
  • Tone Control
  • Automatic stand-by mode (once the signal to the base has ceased)

The headset can be simultaneously connected to two devices. For example:

  • with the optical cable to a television (CL7700 base) + via Bluetooth with your mobile phone
  • with audio input to a television (CL7700 base) + via Bluetooth with your computer
  • When using the headset on an audio source while connected via Bluetooth to your mobile phone, if you receive a call, you will hear the ringtone in the headset and will be able to take the call directly on your headset.
